Went out early walking Hardy country … found some rather damp parasols on an ancient monument overlooking the sea … but best of all some amazing ceps as big as your hand near to Hardy’s Mellstock.  Finding mushrooms that good just makes me grin.  The button sized ones are already cooking with chicken for sunday roast and the big ones in the pic will make a pretty tasty risotto and a cream of cep soup.  The light on the sea and the hills was lovely, with mist clearing from the valley edges where the sheep graze. It sounds a bit idyllic, but that’s how it is.  A still autumn morning and mushrooms popping up through the moss in the woods.  Breakfast was a not-so-healthy chocolate bar from a little shop we passed on our travels.  Coffee was good when we got home.  Completely forgot about bees, balms and business.
